Maritex Aquarius was developed for the marine environment and offers very low wear and low friction for conventional shafts and rudders.
Maritex has also developed a range of materials used in Mining, industrial and pump aplications. If you have an application where you need better plain bearings we may have a grade to suit, or in some cases we can look at developing a material for your application.
Maritex offers a unique range of grades using fibre reinforcement, friction reducers and even a surface chemistry that resists marine growth. The material is stronger than other composites and as such resists creep. It doesn’t creep. Most grades also harden with heat rather than soften and melt.
